Don't you lease from the harm stree Holifa for Philis Weston take a bow? The Slasher has no Telflco about till Make Every Death Count? What's happening? Love is what's going on. We're gonna get dropical, We're gonna get drop cool. Welcome back to another episode of Make Every Death Count, brought to you by the Slash and Cast Podcast Network. We are your host. My name is right, My name is Nick boil Boy. Boil Boy, is it good to be here today? Look at the positives in life you got? You got any advice for mental health? No good or bad mental health? Any advice to help with your mental health? You don't do anything. You don't do anything specific in your life to when you're down on the dumps to get you up. I couldn't tell you how to get up. That's what this type of podcast. This is a motivation, motivational and mental health podcast. Now, are we going to bring someone in there. Yeah. Yeah, I have no advice. My advice is, uh, work out. Working out makes a big difference, so I think keeps me going. Now. It feels I'm depressed when I don't work out, you know. Uh. And I'll say that what I what I said to you today that sometimes if you can, if you understand and respect that people you don't like are great at things that'll really help you out, makes you less spiteful. You know. I feel that's something that I had to teach myself. I'm always a very competitive person, you know. It's like jealousy, and it's like someone someone else is doing something that I want to be good at, better than me. It's like I'm an asshole about it. I was like, no, not anymore. It's like you sometimes you's gotta respect people are good at things. A week from today, I give my foot surgery huge. That is huge. Yeah, no advice with that. No. You gotta have you watched anything watch anything good lately? Uh? Yeah, I watched quite a bit. I've had some time. Our last episode was what Frank Sein black Phone, Black Phone too? Yeah? All right, So since then, I've watched The Man in My Basement with Willem Dafoe. Oh ending sucks. Oh uh. Two and a half stars. Night of the Reaper. It was a movie, good boy, it was just okay. Shelby Oaks, it was just okay. It's a shame. That is definitely. I think we're gonna do like a best and Worst of twenty twenty five, and I think we should have like a most disappointing or like most disappointing. Personally, I think Shelby Oaks is definitely in the top five there. Yeah, I mean, I don't know if I expect it to be that good. I mean, he's a first time director. That that transition from being a good critic to a good creator. It's not the same thing, No, it's it's just not Everyone thinks that if you're good at criticizing something, you're good at like I I'm good at criticizing an NFL defense, doesn't necessarily mean that I'm gonna be able to go in there and play quarterback. All right, Well, like I can read a defense well, doesn't mean I'm going able to go in there and play quarterback and do in real time well or every you know, everyone judges kickers, right, everyone loves the judge Kickers. Let's see how you do. All you do is kick? How do you miss? It's your one job. Good Boy and Shelby Oaks are like your average mid year straight to VOD horror slash thriller movies. I haven't seen too many reviews on Good Boy. I don't know the consensus on that. I mean, on Letterbox, it's sitting right at the three. I gave it right a three. It was exactly middle of the road for me. Three is like middle of the road for me. I give Shelby Oaks two and a half out a five. I watched Misery, Rest in Peace rober Reinher Yeah, yeah, crazy American sweatshop with Lily Reinhart of Riverdale. I don't know. She is a content moderator, so videos that get flagged on a website, they people have to review them. Murder, sex, et cetera. It's a lot of videos. Yeah, and then she becomes obsessed with the content of one of the videos and goes goes rogued. Is it good? That sounds interesting? I like it. It's probably not well, Okay. Letterbox has it two point seven out of five. I gave it a four, so it's a mystery. It is a mystery somewhat. However, ending falls off like the Legitmarty. It's hard landing. What is that called again? American Sweatshop? Two more Night Always Comes? It has Vanessa Kirby in it. Okay, it is it's. More action y than it is horror. It's thriller, but it's definitely more action. He also Zach got a Sagan. Zach Megan's Zach got a Sagan. He has down syndrome and he's like a main character. Okay, he was in what movie? Uh, Peanut butter Falcon was him and Shila buff and Dakota Johnson. What is Yeah, he was like he was the lead. This guy was down syndrome. He's pretty good. Night Always Comes. Uh, it's got a two point seven. I gave it a three. I thought it was fine. Ending a little old whack. And the last one that I just most recently watch the assessment Elizabeth Olsen. Yeah, and Alicia vic Ander. She was in X Makina. Yes, what is that movie about? So they live in a utopia and uh outside world wasteland in this dome perfect world utopia. They cannot reproduce it is illegal unless you get assessed and are proven to be good parents. That's what we should do. I r L and the assessor is a fucking whack job and it's definitely a thriller, but I fuck with it so hard. Like I gave it. I think I gave it a four out of five. It's sitting at a three point four on letterbox. Yeah, it's definitely worth a watch. I think the ending, I maybe I wanted to a little bit more, but it didn't fall off like some of these other movies that I've recently watched. Yeah, but I thought I thought it was very good and Elizabeth Olsen great, she carries and there's no bras in this movie. Also a big fan. No bras in this utopia, which who needs them? That's what That's what I figured, who needs them? But yeah, that's that's what I've watched in the last couple of weeks. I've had some time before I get like piss exhausted. I worked, you know, through two three in the morning to like ten eleven, and then I'm able to watch a movie and then I get super super tired around three pm. It's a hard knock slife out here. Yeah, I feel like time is just goes By. I had to look right before we started recording. I'm like, it's Friday. Yeah, oh my god. Watch it. Fly By is the bendulum swings? You know, watch a count down at the end of the day. The clock takes life away. So unreal. It's so unreal. I uh And we want to talk about New Year's resolutions or New Year, end of years things like that till next week, which, as you gotta find well, we'll have plenty of time because you'll be at home. Uh yet before the New Year. Yeah, make sure you hear the day after your surgery. Huh what I was I gonna say? Oh, I said, yeah, one of my things. I gotta do better on Letterbock next year. I'm gonna commit to it. I'm gonna do better. I'm just just not even like log like I just just put it on the list, just show that I watched it, damn it. I am gonna be logging like I will be uh uh actually reviewing movies. A lot of them are gonna be meme reviews. But if there's a movie that like blows me away, I'm actually gonna write like a real review and then like like good Boy, I'd put Doggie Doggy. I was. I was writing reviews on our website for a little bit and I got a blog going there, and I don't know, man, I wish I could commit to shit like that. I want to be a better person. I mean, really, YouTube shorts could do it as a YouTube short, but then you have to you know, then I got a recomedy here and record it. I mean, you could just do it your phone if you want it to. But I'm not. I'm just not that type of person. I don't know, uh uh. I didn't watch a lot, well what I can tell you off the top of my head. I mean, watch a lot of Paw Patrol. I watched a lot of Scooby Doo, as you do. I've watched cars like six times, Toy Story, a little bit, Home Alone two alright, I watched Home Alone and Home Alone, two great films they hold up. Of course, mac Culkin the Goat. He's been doing a bit of a pressure tour right now for Fallout season two, so it's been nice seeing him around. And then I just turns like, actually like something new. I finished Welcome to Darry I'm a fan. The finale not as good as episode seven. Episode seven was peaked though, that's episode seven is the best thing we've ever gotten from the world a bit, okay in my opinion that don't over hype it for yourself though. It's still just a fucking episode of the show. It's good, but I think it is like the best, and then it all concludes quite well and it's gonna lead to another season, I'm sure. But then I just watched the new Knives Ole movie when Charity forgot what it was called. Wake Up dead Man, Wake Up Dead That is next on my list. Yeah, it was, it was. It was pretty It's pretty good. Any murder mystery I'm gonna have fun with. From guessing along, I think this one loses the comedy edge that the other two have. There's still some comedy in there. I mean, Daniel Craig is still him, I mean, but he he kind of comes in a little. It's two and a half hour movie. I think it's pretty long, and it takes like at least half an hour before he's even in there. Uh so, yeah, it's a pretty long movie. And I don't I don't know how satisfied I am with the reveal. Okay, I don't know. It's Okay, I guess I think by the end you probably have it figured out. Okay, probably except one of the ways in which which it has to happen to have it's like the perfect crime, and I think it's silly. Okay, I don't know. Yeah, I'm probably gonna watch that like legit tomorrow. We'll get on it, I will, you know. But it's decent. I do think it's my least favorite of the three, but I'm more than happy for them to make more. Yes, keep it going. Yeah, day, we're doing something a little bit different, not doing as your typical movie review. Beyond what we just did. We're gonna play a little game and see how it goes, testing this to see if we can do future videos with this format. Yes, and we actually got. What I was gonna do is write these myself and just read them to you and not play along, just challenge you. But I was able to use chat chept a AI AI used as a tool like this, go to it. I fucking hate AI bullshit, slop videos, pictures. I mean, every every third post on Facebook is an ad, you know, like every Tube post is AI. I hate something. I hate AI being abused and it's being abused by a lot of people for I mean even just like I don't think there's ever really a case for AI where you shouldn't be bringing in an artist, like if if you're making ads or you're making content and it's like thumbnails things like that. For using it, it's like I think it should be a gateway tool. Like where I like to use it is stuff like this where you could it can help us set up a game or help us set up a script. But but it gives you the blueprint and then you run it. You'd make it yourself. That's what I think. It same with like a there's a lot of AI thumbnails now, like if you want to use AI to give you inspiration to create a thumbnail and then make it yourself, and that's the way to go. I mean, I saw a post the other day on Facebook. It was like, oh Betty White, Betty White turns one hundred and twelve today. Oh here, you know, help her blow out her candles. And it's AI generated photo of Betty White with a cake that with the person holding it has like four arms and there's like three candles on it. Yeah, and well once she's dead and two she's not. She wouldn't have been one hundred and twelve, and it's also not her birthday. Yeah, it's getting so good. Now. I hate the videos that are like fake, fake tragedies and things like that. See like that's fine. I think that's fine. Those are funny. They're obviously AI. It's the ship when it's being like these are tragedies happening and people are using it for clicks and things like that, and it's it's hard to tell it's a I make my shit now maybe I should, now, like, that's that's funny. That's the way AI should be used, where it's not just taking away jobs and being abused and being abused for clicks and donations and sales and things like. That, although it is using up a lot of water and polluting the ground shit like that. But oh yeah, that's a whole other. I don't And you know what, I saw Hank Green post videos like why is everyone wrong about AI water usage? I didn't watch it. I haven't watched it yet. It's like on my watch later. I don't know if like we're underestimating it or overestimating it. If Hain't Green posts like that, it's probably probably overestimated. Probably, but that is something I want to watch. But I do know yet it's not great for the environment and electricity use. I mean in all of these any farms like this, these GPU farms, it's just what do you get? What do you do? What is our motivational podcast? And culture? Yes, pop culture? But yeah, okay, well, what we're doing I didn't explain the game. What I explained is that we're using. AI so that way, yeah, you can play along. Yes, So what we're doing is reading bad horror synopsis is SYNOPSI SNAPI, synopsid synopsis is uh there for horror movies. And based on this bad synopsis, we get a guess what the movie is. I don't know how bad they are. I don't know. This is a test. We're testing chat get to see if you can make difficult things. But it was specifically formatted for this show, so we'll we'll see. Okay, play along at home? Shall you get your white board out? Get your white board out? Which I'm not gonna do that. I'm just good. We're just gonna say it. Oh, are we a team? I guess A group of friends go somewhere they should not, despite several clear signs saying not to. One guy reads from a book he's explicitly told not to read. Demons are released. Everyone X shocked. Okay, that seems like a pretty obvious one. Now, yeah, they're all gonna be that obvious. That's the question. The evil Dead? Yeah, what year is that? From eighty one? Congratulations you did it. A family moves into a house that is way too cheap, doors slam, voices, whisper, and the dad slowly becomes the worst version of himself. The hotel brochure forgot to mention murder ghost, smart house. I thought I thought it was wolf space man. Family moves into a house that is way too cheap. The hotel wero sure forgot to mention murder ghost. Uh, because that sounds like the Shining. I thought that sentence is but a family moves into a house it's way too cheap, door slam, voices, whisper. It sounds like amy the horror. Oh oh maybe, yeah, there's. There's an answer, key, hold on, don't go too far. It was the Shining. But that's not a house. Come on, hey, I come on. A mass individual with breathing issues stocks teenagers who keeps stopping to ask questions instead of leaving. Holiday is technically happening, but nobody is celebrating correctly. Okay, so it's Halloween. A mass individual breathing issues stocks teenagers, that sounds and then what that keeps stopping to ask questions instead of leaving. Yeah, I don't I don't know about that. I mean, I guess these are bad synopsis. So a holiday is ten happening, but nobody is celebrating correctly. Why is that nobody's trigger treating. They're out searching for Michael. It is Halloween, you said, right, bad synopsis? I mean that is a bad synopsis. Yeah. Scientists creates something they absolutely cannot control. It escapes immediately, everyone splits up. The dog is suspicious. Okay, you know that's from the thing. Yeah. Yeah. A summer camp reopens even though several murders happened there already. Okay. Counselors ignore the past, remove their clothes, and pay the price. All right, Fridayney, I got it. A woman keeps having dreams that are actually warnings, but no one listens because she's stressed. That's so raven, that's so raven. See that's where it should end, you know. But then there's another sentences. A man with a very creative glove proof sleep is not a safe place. Yeah, that's that's just a good synopsis. Yea. A videotape ruins everyone's week, all right? The Ring. Yeah, A small town's attacked by animals that are previously minding their own business. Humans react by yelling and running instead of closing doors. All right, animals pet cemetery. Yeah, that's what I was thinking, is Kujo pet cemetery? Right? Oh no, it's not. It's not neither of those. No, read it again. Uh, small towns attacked by animals that are previously minding their own business. Humans react by yelling and running instead of closing doors. That's kind of tough because that could apply to several animal type movies. This one is specifically The Birds. Really okay, they got they got us. A group of people attend a fancy dinner that turns out to be a trap. The host is judgmental. The menu he was aggressive, and nobody gets assert the menu they said it can't say it. It can't say it. In the synopsis, ye that's the menu. A doll is purchased as a thoughtful gift. It immediately causes murder. Adults argue about whether the doll is actually alive while more people die. It's gotta be a child's play. Yeah, child's play or Annabelle slash conjuring. Yeah, it's child's play. Yeah. A man in a puzzle themed outfit believes murder is character development. Victims are forced to make choices that are technically choices but not really. It's gotta be saw a puzzle themed outfit. Yeah, that's I think that's just giving it away, cheeks how puzzle. A family adopts a child who is clearly evil. Everyone ignores every red flag because they want to be polite. That is an orphan or the omen? What are we getting is the omen? Yeah? I don't know. I find it could totally be orphaned for you. People enter a maze built entirely out of regret and poor decisions. The walls move, the goal is unclear. Survival is optional. What amaze? Built entirely out of regret and poor decisions? The walls move? Cube? Have you seen cube? No, it's not escape room. The goal is unclear. It's gotta be cube. It is cube. You don't good? That was good? That's a good one. Teenagers are punished for being teenagers by an unseen force with a moral code. Parents are useless. Someone survives by being boring. They're getting better. These are getting really good people. Teenagers are punished for being teenagers by an unseen force with a moral code, a moral code. So you do something an unseen force, that's fucking me up. An unseen force. I see, okay, with a moral code, I think is because is it fascination? How do they survive by being boring? What does that mean? Because of the going into the padded room in the second one, like i't is it is me? See, I gotta go slowly? No, Oh, that's so good. That's a fucking great one. It's it follows that is so good. Yeah. Not having sex is boring? Yeah, and moral code like that makes that told. That's what's throwing me off. Not having sex is boring, call me boring? Fuck god. Yeah, that's a good one. That was a good one. A space crew find something ancient and hostile, they bring it on board. Anyway, it grows fast. Chest pain becomes a serious concern. See now now it's not good. Now we all know it's alien. The chest burster said, dude, I man, they follows one was so good? That was good. I like that one. Damn, I asked for fifteen more. Hold On, I didn't think we would just pound through those like that. We're good. Answer, key, Please don't look, I'm not looking. I just got to make sure it's there so I can scroll down in real time. Okay, Moving on. A family discovers their child is missing and immediately decides to investigate by splitting up and whispering. A lot of screaming happens in the dark, and no one agrees on what year it is. What. The family discovers our child is missing, and immediate asides to investigate by I thought it was until dawn, but that's obviously not until dawn. A lot of screaming happens in the dark, and no one agrees on what year it is. What. I have a feeling I don't even know what this movie is. Hold on, let me slowly. The hangover? I have no idea. It's not the hangover? Is it? This can't be right? What a lot of screaming in the dark. Hey, I let me down again because they said that was a text chainsaw masker. No. No family discovers their child is missing, and immediately decides to investigate by splitting up and whispering. I want to know what. It splitting up and whispering the fuck. No one agrees with God, I want to know what it actually is. Fuck? All right, well maybe you'd somewhere later in the key, a woman keeps getting haunted because she didn't finish her home work. The ghost is very patient and waits years to be scary again. I do know what this one is because she didn't finish her home work. What that is throwing me off? It is based on a Japanese film. Oh, it's the Grudge. It's a grudge. Yeah, that's a good one. A group of rich people realize too late that money does not protect you from social commentary or sharp objects. A group of rich people realize too late that money of the purge. Is that not like the purge? Yes, yeah, that'd be my guff I guess, motherfucker. A group of rich will realize that too late that money does not protect you from social commentary or sharp objects. That sounds want with to purch me, but it's ready or not? Oh okay. A man builds a machine to talk to the dead. The dead respond enthusiastically and with violence. If I can't even think of a movie. Can't you think of a movie where that would be the case? I have no idea. Oh, we're trash. It's flatliners. Though teenagers open a door, they are explicitly told not to open. Hell is surprisingly bureaucratic. Open door they are explicitly told not to open. Uh? Is that? Uh? Is that? Hell? Is it? Because now it's starting to think hell raiser a door? I was thinking hell raiser too, But if it literally means a door, I don't know. It's outraser. Yeah, that's that's what I thought. A man moves back to his hometown and realizes everyone is part of a weird club. The club does not accept outsiders and prefers bonfires. Moves back to his hometown and realizes everyone is part of a weird club. The club is not accept outsiders and prefers on fires. That it is? It is in my brain. I just can't think of what it is. It's an oldie and actually it is obvious. My brain's thinking way too modern. It's the wicker Man. Yea, yeah. The A couple's vacation is ruined by locals who are very into traditions and masks. Is that strangers pray to night a couple's vacation. I guess, well, could it just be strangers? Wait? No, yeah, and strangers very traditions and masks. I gotta think it's the strangers, right, Oh, tradition and traditions and mask Okay, it's okay. I guess it was midsummer. I guess. A woman refuses to stop grieving and instead invite something horrible into her house. Say that again, a woman refuses to stop grieving and instead invites something horrible into her house. What you say? If she's grieving and she invites them horrible in her house, she's probably trying to bring something back to life and brings the wrong thing to life. I don't know, man, he's got really hard. Oh it's the bab duck. Oh fuck. A man wakes up next to a stranger and immediately starts making the worst possible decisions. Time is unclear. Violence escalates? What it saw right? Say that again? A man wakes up next to a stranger and immediately starts making the worst possible decisions. This is unclear or time is unclear? Do you wake up next to a stranger? Mmm? Immediately starts making the worst possible decisions. Time is unclear. Violence escalates SAW two. Okay, but I think it's really supposed to be SAW one. Yeah, Like it's because it's. Not just a man waking up next to a stranger. There's more to it than that. A group of people investigated noise complaint that turns into a screaming competition. A group of people investigating noise complaint. It turns into a screaming competition. A noise complaint, Ah, I don't. Know, it turns into a screen wreck. Oh okay, that's true. A girl discovers her family has secrets and those secrets live in the walls and want to eat her. A girl discovers her family has secrets and those secrets live in the walls and wants to eat her. What what is going on? The people under the stairs? Stupid? Oh yeah? People play a game that is much more dangerous than advertised. The rules keep changing and nobody wins truth or dair. A woman realized her neighbors are too friendly, too perfect, and possibly not human. I don't know, it's a movie. I haven't seen the Stepford Wives. I've never seen that. Now, let's try fifteen more. And they got hard. Yeah that was. There were some tough ones, honestly, there were. There are some obvious ones in there, and. We just suck. True, very true. I'm trying to make sure the answer key comes in. All right, take your time. Okay, there we go, cheating. A group of researchers go underground to learn things. They were happier not knowing the creatures down there are fast, angry, and hate light. The descent right? What is it? What is it? What is the first sentence? A group of researchers, But it says it literally in the chat here it says, I'm gonna make it harder every time. Got it? It's too personal? Well you stop doing that. A group of researchers. Yeah, group of researchers go underground and learn things. They were happier not knowing the creatures down there are fast, angry, and hate light. Sure, it's got to be the descent, right. I'm trying to scroll too far. I gotta go. I go slightly, slightly slightly is the decent? A man records himself doing bad things and somehow makes it worse by watching it later. Himself records himself I was gonna say, sinister, but. Records himself doing bad things and somehow makes it worse by watching it later. I don't know why about barbarying came in my mind, but that's obviously not right. A who records himself doing bad things? And why would you watch it later? Disturbia don't know, I don't know. Let's see it is sinister, that's crazy. Well, he's not recording himself. Well he does at one point. Well, yeah, yeah, it's a stretch. It's a stretch. Listen, there's flaws in the system doing it right anyway. A babysitting job goes wrong because the kids were never the problem. The babysitter. A babysitting job goes wrong because it is a house of the Devil Halloween. I don't know, so the devil, dude, I hope, So, I hope it's House to the Devil, because that would be a good. One because she was technically babysitting these old people. No, it's the babysitter. You tried your best. I was right. A town ignores a very clear threat because tourism is more important than safety. Water becomes the enemy. Jaws, Yeah it is. It's got to be jaws. Yeah, it is jaws. Water. I mean, water's not the problem. Water's wet. A man becomes famous for surviving something that absolutely should have killed him. Death takes us personally. You didn't get that right away. That was the first one I've gotten in like twenty of these What fascination which one found the station? Imagine it's the first one. A man becomes famous for surviving something that absolute should have killed him. Death takes his personally was he became famous and he was I mean anything I was talked about. It's foundsation. Okay. A woman returns to her childhood home and finds out trauma has excellent memory. Mm hmmm, K thirty nine. I don't know. A few. I don't know the orphanage, okay, Yes, a group of people do. A group of people go on a retreat to fix their lives end up needing entirely new ones old Maybe going to retreat to fix their lives now that wouldn't be old. I don't that sounds why. They fix their lives? What retreat to you? Going to fix your life? What movie does that? I still know what you did last summer? That makes sense to me when in doubt it's I still know. I don't know. I'm guessing old, even though I know that's not right. Oh the Invitation. A couple finds out their baby is special in a way that is not fun. Rosemary's Baby. I can't think what else could it possibly be in this genre? The boy? But that's not their baby, it's Rosemary's yea. A mass figure punishes people for sins that feel extremely specific Saw again. That does feel like SAW. A masked figure punishes people for sins that feel extremely specific, extremely specific, and sins like is that is it? This is religious? Extremely that's not extremely specific. A mass figure punished people for sins that feel extremely The collector, I don't freaking no, al Right, it's my bloody Valentine. Okay, yeah, damn.
